Description

Easy no-bake glazed donut holes decorated with melted chocolate, chocolate sprinkles, and pretzel stems to resemble tiny acorns for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and fall parties.

Ingredients

Scale

20 firm glazed donut holes

3/4 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips

3/4 cup chocolate jimmies

10 long pretzel sticks, broken in half

Instructions

1. Break the pretzel sticks in half to make 20 short stems.

2. Arrange the donut holes on a parchment-lined tray.

3. Pour the chocolate jimmies into a shallow bowl.

4. Place the chocolate chips in a dry microwave-safe bowl.

5. Microwave for 20–30 seconds and stir.

6. Continue microwaving in shorter intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is smooth.

7. Dip approximately the top third of one donut hole into the melted chocolate.

8. Let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.

9. Immediately coat the chocolate-dipped section with chocolate jimmies.

10. Gently insert one pretzel stem into the center.

11. Repeat with all remaining donut holes.

12. Let the chocolate set for approximately 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Keep all utensils dry when melting chocolate.

Do not microwave the chocolate continuously; short intervals help prevent scorching.

Dip only the upper third for the clearest acorn appearance.

Candy melts can replace chocolate chips.

Finely chopped pecans can replace chocolate sprinkles but introduce a tree-nut allergen.

Check individual product labels for wheat, milk, egg, soy, sesame, peanut, and tree-nut allergen information.

Store covered according to the donut-hole manufacturer’s package directions.

Freezing is not recommended after decorating.

Reheating is not recommended.
