Description
Warm, creamy Brie topped with honey, toasted walnuts, rosemary, and a pinch of salt. An easy 20-minute appetizer for holidays, parties, and relaxed gatherings.
Ingredients
1 (8-ounce) Brie wheel
3 tablespoons honey
1/3 cup roughly chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
Small pinch flaky or coarse salt
Crackers, sliced baguette, apple slices, or pear slices for serving, optional
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Place the Brie wheel in a small oven-safe dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Keep the rind intact.
3. Bake for 10–12 minutes, checking at 10 minutes. The Brie should hold its shape but feel very soft in the center.
4. Meanwhile, toast the chopped walnuts in a dry skillet over medium-low heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently.
5. Remove the Brie from the oven.
6. Drizzle with 3 tablespoons honey.
7. Sprinkle with the toasted walnuts, rosemary, and a small pinch of flaky salt.
8. Serve immediately with crackers, baguette, apples, or pears.
Notes
Do not remove the entire Brie rind before baking.
Begin checking the cheese at 10 minutes because wheel thickness and starting temperature affect how quickly it softens.
Pecans may replace walnuts.
Fresh thyme may replace rosemary.
Maple syrup may replace honey for a deeper, more caramel-like flavor.
Reduce honey to 2 tablespoons for a more savory version.
Store covered leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
Freezing is not recommended because thawed Brie may become grainier and the walnut topping loses crunch.
Reheat in a 300°F oven for about 5–8 minutes, or until softly heated.
