Description
Halloween Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, cheesy baked appetizer made with shredded chicken, tangy buffalo sauce, cream cheese, and cheddar, finished with a simple spooky spiderweb design.
Ingredients
1 lb cooked shredded chicken
1/2 cup medium or hot buffalo sauce
8 oz cream cheese, softened
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese, divided
2 tablespoons sour cream or ranch dressing, for the optional spiderweb finish
Tortilla chips, crackers, celery sticks, or carrot sticks, for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, softened cream cheese, and 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar until evenly combined.
3. Spread the mixture into a 9-inch round or similarly sized oven-safe baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar evenly over the top.
4. Bake for 15 minutes, until the dip is hot and bubbling around the edges.
5. Let the dip cool for a few minutes. For a Halloween spiderweb finish, pipe the sour cream or ranch in circles over the cheese, then drag a toothpick from the center outward.
6. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, celery sticks, or carrot sticks.
Notes
Use cooked rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
Choose mild, medium, or hot buffalo sauce to control the spice level.
